This is a roll cloud. They
are rarely formed. Cold air comes down from a storm front and pushes up the warm,
moist air. As the warm air goes up it becomes cooler and condenses into a cloud.
If this occurs over a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong stretch, it forms a roll
cloud.
